Unified Commerce at Scale for Cricket Australia

merchandise across 15 venues and 44 stores during high-profile matches required a solution that
could handle scale, speed, and unpredictability. Legacy systems were no longer fit for purpose, and
a more modern, unified retail platform was needed.

The Challenge

Cricket Australia faced a complex operational landscape with 134 point-of-sale terminals needing
real-time reliability. Their previous systems lacked offline payment capabilities, created reporting
delays, and made financial reconciliation more difficult than it should be. With thousands of fans
making purchases in short time windows, any disruption could mean lost revenue and frustrated
customers.

Our Solution

BC4 delivered a tailored Unified Commerce solution based on Microsoft Dynamics
365 Business Central and LS Central SaaS. The rollout included 134 branded POS terminals across
44 stores at 15 venues, equipped with HP EngageOne Pro hardware, thermal printers, barcode
scanners, and Verifone payment devices.

We integrated Adyen and LSPay payment processing, with full offline capability and 4G resilience.
On-site installation was handled by BC4 engineers, supported by comprehensive 1st to 3rd line
support and a dedicated HyperCare team during key events to ensure uninterrupted operations.

The deployment created a Microsoft SaaS environment that was scalable, secure, and
centralised-enabling Cricket Australia to operate confidently during high-pressure match days.

Where We Are Now

With the new system in place, Cricket Australia successfully managed thousands of transactions per
day without downtime. Staff were able to process payments faster, using a simplified,
event-optimised interface. Customers experienced smoother, more reliable service across all
venues-from the MCG to Adelaide Oval and Optus Stadium.

The centralised SaaS environment gave retail and finance teams real-time visibility into sales and
performance across all sites. That clarity enabled faster, more informed decisions and opened the
door to more agile merchandising strategies.
